We recommend the following basic rules:
- Create a good impression (welcoming atmosphere, turn off TV and radio, open curtains, and above all, keep your animal at bay).
- Keep the exterior of the house well cared for (maintain the property, clean the gutter, cut the hedges...)
- Clean and clear out the inside of the house (ensure clean bathrooms, clear counters, stairs and floors, arrange closets, laundry area and cellar... Cleanliness is the rule!)
- Repair defects (dripping faucets, creaking doors, broken windows, and even burnt-out light bulbs).
- Allow the agent to carry out his/her work, work for which he/she possesses competency and know-how. (Be discreet during visits, let the agent respond to questions and let him/her negotiate with potential buyers/visitors).
